"1914" EDWARDIAN 6.02 CARAT CERTIFIED UNHEATED COLOR CHANGE SAPPHIRE, DIAMOND, AND PLATINUM RING
This spectacular antique piece was handcrafted sometime during the Edwardian design period ( 1900-1920 ). Antique engravings within the inside of the band specify the ring was dedicated in the year 1914. The platinum setting features an absolute treasure, a 6.02 carat certified ( GIA ) unheated color change Ceylon sapphire. The natural Ceylon sapphire is certified Violet blue changing to Violet. The center sapphire is an octagonal step cut, maximizing the stone's natural beauty. The platinum filigree setting was of course hand crafted to accommodate this particular stone. The setting has many beautiful design elements such as tiny sparkling diamond accents, ultra fine milgrain accents, and extensive hand engravings. This is truly a one of a kind antique piece and an exceedingly rare find. This ring is currently a size 7 & 3/4.
