This exceptional antique piece was crafted sometime during the Art Deco design period (1920-1940). The center diamond is an antique Old European cut measuring approximately 3.20 carats. The center diamond grades approximately L in color and VS2 in clarity. This antique diamond has been certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). The exquisite platinum setting features 23 sparkling accent diamonds; beautifully complimenting the center diamond. The setting also features six baguette cut diamonds on either side of the center stone. Baguette cut diamonds were becoming more and more popular as accents during the Art Deco design period for their clean and linear proportions. We simply adore the milgrain work on the center bezel and the beautiful hand engravings accenting the platinum setting. The geometrical filigree gallery features tiny but painstakingly precise milgrain accents. The attention to detail in antique jewelry remains unmatched in precision and thoughtfulness.
