This charming antique bangle bracelet was skillfully handcrafted sometime during the Victorian Design period (1840-1900). The piece is of exceptional quality, featuring 60 natural seed pearls and 1 old mine cut diamond in the center. All pearls used during the Victorian design period were natural, as cultured pearls were not introduced until the early 20th century and not perfected until the Mid Century design period. Old mine cut diamonds often resemble a cross between an antique old European cut and modern cushion cut. Old mine cut diamonds were originally designed to scintillate in soft candlelight or gaslight light sources, giving them a unique brilliance. We absolutely adore the precious daisy chain motif of this beautiful Victorian piece; this design period featured romantic and floral motifs heavily. The 14k gold setting features an easy to use push button clasp closure along with safety latch. This bangle bracelet measures for a slightly smaller than average ladies wrist (around 6-6&1/2 inches).
