This antique diamond filigree ring was crafted sometime during the Art Deco design period (1920-1940). The center diamond is an antique Old European cut measuring approximately 2.68 carats. (GIA) The center diamond grades approximately L in color and VVS2 in clarity. (GIA) This antique diamond has been evaluated and certified by the Gemological Institute of America. The platinum setting is absolutely immaculate, featuring 46 sparkling diamond accents and 6 custom cut blue sapphires set amongst intricate filigree. The setting features gorgeous fine milgrain accents and extensive hand engravings encompassing the entire length of the knife edge style shank. These antique design elements cumulate in a stunning solitaire style that is anything but ordinary. During the Art Deco design period blue sapphires were symbolic of faithfulness and enduring loyalty. This is why many Art Deco bridal pieces feature blue sapphires. This antique ring is currently a size 6 & 1/2.
