ANTIQUE ART DECO DIAMOND AND PEARL PENDANT NECKLACE
This gorgeous diamond and seed pearl pendant was crafted sometime during the Art Deco design period (1920-1940). The pendant necklace is 14k white gold and features one sparkling Old European cut diamond in the center. The pendant portion of the necklace was originally an antique stick pin. Stick pins were tiny brooches used for a variety of purposes during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. They could serve as a type of tie pin or hat pin, they held decorative scarves in place, and adorned lapels. They were very personal and come in endless motifs and varieties; from gemstones to portraits, decorative knots, swords, flowers, and many types of animals. During this particular time period geometrical motifs with almost architectural design elements were popular. The pendant features clean lines and timeless symmetry along with tiny antique hand engravings. This antique necklace features approximately 0.10 carats of diamonds. The chain is a brand new 14k white gold cable style with easy to use lobster claw style clasp closure. Timeless everyday antique styles such as these are often our bestsellers as they are easy to integrate into any jewelry collection, complimentary to any style, and are always an appropriate gift. The chain on this necklace measures approximately 16 inches in length. The pendant measures approximately 1/2 inch in length.
