This antique piece was handcrafted sometime during the Art Deco design period (1920-1940). This antique dinner ring features a platinum setting with 17 sparkling Old European cut diamonds set throughout intricate filigree. The setting features 14 richly hued blue sapphire accents. Dinner rings were the perhaps more sophisticated sister to the big and flashy cocktail ring of the Art Deco and Mid Century design periods. Dinner rings were a bit more refined, usually made from platinum or white gold and meant to be worn to fancy dinners and balls instead of speakeasies and parties. They were oftentimes worn on the pinky finger. This piece features approximately 0.50 carats of diamonds; combined total weight. This antique ring features extensive hand engravings along with fine filigree and very beautiful precise milgrain accents. The piece is currently a size 7.
