ANTIQUE ART DECO DIAMOND AND SAPPHIRE TWO GOLD TONE RING
This antique piece was handcrafted sometime during the Art Deco design period (1920-1940). The setting features a 18k gold shank and gallery with 18k white gold head. The ring has an octagonal motif mirrored with baguette cut blue sapphires and one small center diamond. The ring’s clean lines and simple hand engravings are very typical of the design period; the Art Deco design period departed from floral feminine designs that were so popular during the Victorian and Edwardian design periods. Art Deco pieces usually have more structured, masculine, almost architectural design elements. This piece would make for a wonderful everyday piece with it’s simplicity and complimentary shape. This ring is currently a size 6 & 3/4.
