This antique piece was crafted sometime during the Art Deco design period(1920-1940). The antique setting is platinum and features 28 small sparkling diamonds. The center stone is a breathtaking moonstone featuring gorgeous adularescence. Adularescence is the particular effect where light appears to float below the gemstone’s surface. During ancient times moonstones were believed to be solidified moonbeams. The gemstone found renewed popularity during the early twentieth century, particularly during the Art Nouveau design period. The setting features precise milgrain accents and a very simple yet stunning motif. The center moonstone is definitely the focal point in this antique piece. In the Zodiac calendar moonstone is considered to be Cancer’s gemstone. This ring is currently a size 7 & 3/4.
