ANTIQUE ART DECO ROSE CUT DIAMOND AND FRENCH CUT SAPPHIRE BAR NECKLACE
This antique piece was crafted sometime during the Art Deco design period (1920-1940). The pendant was originally an antique straight line diamond and sapphire brooch; a very popular jewelry design during this time period. Nowadays many antique brooches find new life and perhaps more wearability as necklaces. The pendant features 8 rose cut diamonds and 6 french cut blue sapphires. A rose cut is one of the earliest diamond shapes, it is often found in Georgian and Victorian pieces. The cut was first designed to scintillate in soft candle or gas light sources. The setting is 14K gold, measures approximately 1 inch in length, and is fitted with two custom made bales to accommodate the necklace’s chain. The 14K gold cable style chain is brand new and has never been worn. The chain measures approximately 16 inches in length. This straight line brooch to necklace conversion is one of our bestsellers as it is simple yet stylish enough to compliment any jewelry collection. We suggest layering this gold piece with your platinum or white gold jewelry pieces to create a custom and carefully curated style.
