This antique piece was crafted sometime during the Art Deco design period (1920-1940). The platinum setting features gorgeous interlocking filigree and is absolutely sparkling with tiny accent diamonds. The center stone is a blue sapphire measuring approximately 0.70 carats. The center sapphire has a medium hue, not too dark and is deeply saturated. This antique piece is a subtle stunner; upon first glance dazzling diamonds catch the eye. With further inspection you might notice 4 elegant Asscher cut diamonds amongst the 16 sparkling diamond accents. During the Victorian and Art Deco design period colored gemstones were viewed as representative of virtues. Blue sapphire was a symbol of marital loyalty and fidelity. It was often used in bridal jewelry during this time period. This ring would be a beautiful alternative to a diamond engagement ring. This ring is currently a size 7.
