ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN 1.84 CARAT OLD MINE CUT DIAMOND RING
This stunning antique piece was crafted sometime during the Edwardian design period (1900-1920). The center diamond is an Old Mine cut diamond measuring approximately 1.84 carats. (GIA) Old Mine cut diamonds are antique diamonds that were cut by hand to scintillate in soft candlelight and gaslight. Being hand cut, each Old Mine cut diamond has a unique shape and character. These antique diamonds date back to the 18th & 19th centuries. They most often resemble the shape of a modern cushion cut diamond. This particular diamond grades approximately M in color and VS2 in clarity. (GIA) The diamond has been graded and certified by the Gemological Institute of America. The platinum setting is a gorgeous Edwardian garland style featuring 28 tiny diamond accents set throughout fine filigree.
