ANTIQUE VICTORIAN DIAMOND AND SAPPHIRE RING WITH BRITISH HALLMARKS
This antique piece was crafted in Birmingham England in 1890. Jewelry made in England typically has numerous hallmarks (stamps on the inside of the shank) that can tell us when and where a piece was made. This 18k gold ring features four small sparkling diamonds and two blue sapphires. The shank features some minimal engravings and antique style prongs. 1890 was at the very end of the Victorian era; the Belle Époque and Art Nouveau design styles were just emerging. This ring is currently a size 7.
