This antique diamond star pendant was handcrafted sometime during the Victorian design period (1840-1900). In the center of the star rests a small natural pearl with a lovely silver hue. The setting is 14K gold and features 10 antique old mine cut diamonds. The pendant is antique but the 14K gold cable style chain is new. We always put our antique pendants on a brand new chain, as over time and with wear chains can lose their durability. During the early twentieth century and especially during the Victorian era, pendants were sometimes worn on a ribbon as handcrafted chains could be very expensive and rare. The chain measures approximately 16 inches in length and features an easy to use lobster claw clasp closure. This mystical star pendant is beautifully unique. Stars and crescent moon jewelry are some of our best selling Victorian designs as they are timelessly charming.
