ART DECO 1.25 CARAT YOGO BLUE SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND RING
This spectacular antique piece was skillfully handcrafted sometime during the Art Deco design period ( 1920-1940 ). The platinum filigree setting features one of the rarest premium blue sapphires in the world; a cornflower blue Yogo sapphire measuring approximately 1.25 carats. The center sapphire is certified by the Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A) to be of Yogo Gulch Montana origin. Yogo Gulch Montana is absolutely revered for producing some of the finest quality blue sapphires ever mined. Yogo sapphires measuring over 0.50 carats are exceptionally rare. Yogo blue sapphires are also considered to be one of the finest quality gemstones ever mined exclusively from American soil. These Montana sapphires are treasured for their intense color, clarity, and stability of color. Yogo sapphires do not require heat treatments or enhancements like some other gemstones; a driving factor that contributes to it's premium status. The sapphire is accompanied by two old european cut diamonds. Each diamond measures approximately 0.85 carats and grades H in color, VS1 in clarity. The platinum setting features exquisite antique hand engravings, fine milgrain accents, and simple filigree. This platinum ring is currently a size 8 & 1/2.
