ART DECO 5.63 CARAT CEYLON SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND PLATINUM RING
This stunning antique piece was handcrafted sometime during the Art Deco design period ( 1920-1940 ). The center stone is an incredible unheated Ceylon sapphire. The sapphire is a fancy cut measuring approximately 5.63 carats. Ceylon sapphires originate from the area now know as Sri Lanka and are prized for their beautiful color and clarity. The sapphire is flanked by 10 brilliantly scintillating baguette cut diamonds, graduated in size. The platinum setting features clean lines in a classic Art Deco motif. The Art Deco design period took a lot of inspiration from Egyptian and Native American art, giving it a distinct style still celebrated to this day as timeless and opulent. This 5.63 carat Ceylon sapphire ring captures that essence of opulence perfectly. This piece would make for an absolutely gorgeous diamond-alternative engagement ring. This ring is currently a size 7.
