This piece was crafted sometime during the Mid Century design period ( 1940-1960's ) The 14k yellow gold setting features a dazzling large simulated alexandrite in the center. Simulated alexandrite ( man made gemstone ) was a once popular stone, often used in large Mid Century cocktail rings. The setting features a sculpted twisted rope motif, 32 prongs, and an elegant split shank design. This ring is currently a size 7 1/2.
