We estimate this vintage piece was crafted sometime during the Art Deco design period (1922-1940). What an enigma! This stunning vintage piece bears Soviet Union hallmarks. The Soviet Union was formed in 1922, so one can assume it was crafted sometime after 1922. The center diamond appears to be an Old European cut but perhaps on the transitional spectrum. Transitional diamonds were typically cut sometime before the Mid Century design period and before the introduction of the modern era round brilliant cut. All in all it’s a very interesting piece featuring antique style belcher prongs and a very low profile setting. The center diamond measures approximately 2.23 carats and grades approximately L in color and SI2 in clarity. Three smaller diamonds rest on either side of the center diamond. This ring is currently a size 8 & 1/4.
