This antique piece was crafted sometime during the Victorian design period (1840-1900). This marquise shaped antique style is commonly referred to as a Navette ring. Navette loosely translates to “little boat” in French and describes the elongated marquise shape. The setting is crafted from 18k Victorian rose gold and features an elegant tapered shank. The ring features 13 richly hued antique cut rubies and 7 Old Mine cut diamonds. The piece has some very small antique engravings here and there as well as a simple filigree gallery. In our opinion rubies and antique rose gold almost always pair beautifully and in this piece it is a stunning combination. This ring is currently a size 5 & 1/2.
