This vintage piece was crafted sometime during the Mid Century design period (1940-1960). The 14k gold setting features 9 white opals and 8 sparkling diamond accents set along the top of the bangle. White opals paired with white diamonds is a classic combination as they compliment each other beautifully. During the Mid Century design period gemstones like white opal, ruby, and pearls were very popular. In this particular piece each white opal is held in place by tiny fleur-de-lis shaped prongs. This classic Mid Century bangle features an easy to use push button clasp closure along with safety chain. The iridescence seen inside of a white opal is called play-of-color and an opal’s play-of-color establishes it’s gem quality. This bangle is very average sized; fitting a ladies wrist measuring approximately 7 inches.
