This antique piece was crafted sometime during the Art Deco design period (1920-1940). Antique filigree bracelets were very popular during this time period and featured quite a range of filigree designs; from very floral to complex geometrical motifs. Each bracelet was quite personal; featuring a combination of filigree design and gemstones depending on the wearer’s preference. You may find two antique filigree bracelets with similar themes but never two to be absolutely identical. Gemstones would often be added to the links over time to celebrate anniversaries or special occasions. This antique filigree bracelet is crafted from 10k white gold and features one single diamond accent in the center. 10K was the preferred medium through much of the 1930’s. 10k white gold was considerably more affordable than platinum; a cost saving initiative that was imperative during the Depression Era. This bracelet features extensive openwork filigree and fine milgrain encompassing the entire length of the bracelet. The theme is charming floral with plenty of detailed engravings. This bracelet features an easy to use push button clasp closure along with hidden safety latch. The bracelet is considered slightly smaller than average; measuring approximately 6 & 3/4ths inches in length.
