ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN 2.07 CARAT OLD MINE CUT DIAMOND RING
This antique piece was crafted sometime during the Edwardian design period (1900-1920). The platinum filigree setting features an antique center diamond measuring approximately 2.07 carats. The center diamond has been certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and is an Old Mine cut. The 2.07 carat diamond grades approximately J in color and VS1 in clarity. Old mine cut diamonds are charmingly unique, they are one of the oldest diamond cuts. Antique Old Mine cut diamonds have a unique shape and slightly rustic appearance. These antique diamonds often resemble a modern cushion cut or oval cut diamond. They were hand cut and polished to sparkle in soft candlelight and gaslight light sources. This Edwardian platinum filigree setting is exceptionally exquisite and in pristine condition. The antique engravings feature flourishing florals, a favorite motif of the Edwardian design period. The setting features four small sparkling diamond accents as well as precise filigree and milgrain throughout. This heirloom quality piece is ready to last a lifetime.
