This antique piece was handcrafted sometime during the Victorian design period (1840-1900). Sometimes referred to as a “Gypsy” ring, this very distinctive style features three gemstones set flush in a smooth polished gold band. The center stone is a diamond measuring approximately 0.04 carats. The center diamond is flanked by two richly hued blue sapphires. This particular style has a very long history; dating back to ancient civilizations even but it’s unknown how or why it was bequeathed with the “Gypsy” moniker. The style was originally menswear until around the Victorian Era. It’s unisex aesthetic is still appreciated by men and women alike today. We find it’s a style that works very well layered with your other bands or rings or perhaps all on it’s own as a chic everyday piece. This ring is currently a size 6.
